PRESIDENT: Alec Lyons
I hope everyone is staying healthy and busy as 2020 continues to challenge us.
We have our third meeting coming up next week, which we will be presenting at NO CHARGE! We hope that this will allow you and or your entire office to watch via video conference to support our local chapter. We will not be having another technical meeting until January 2021. Depending on the direction that is given from ASHRAE National and Regional Directors, along with what types of meetings and capacities are allowed by the State of Nevada, this will dictate whether or not we get to have an in person meeting to start off 2021. We will keep our fingers crossed that we will be able to see everyone come January, and we are also hoping to still have our poker tournament in January or February.
Please note that as we continue to take on the challenges with COVID-19, ASHRAE is still providing recommendations and resources to support the HVACR Industry. As we continue to serve our local community, please reference the technical resources (ASHRAE Technical Resources) and feel free to reach out to any of the board members if we can help in any way.
Stay healthy and stay safe. We all look forward to seeing you at the first opportunity we can.

Discussion of mitigation strategies including how to effectively schedule and select terminal unit hot water coils and their accessories, how to manage design parameters, and how to standardize on equipment schedules will all be investigated.
Mark Mahon is an application Engineering Manager with Price Industries and has a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering. He currently does application engineering for terminals, fan coils, hydronic valve, and fan powered DOAS units. Mark has over 5 years at Price industries with R&D and Application Engineering.
