President's Message

PRESIDENT: Gino Grelli

Hi Everyone,

Our next meeting will be held on April 16th at Twisted Fork, where we’ll be featuring NV Energy’s Business Energy Services program.

As we wrap up the year, we’re excited for our final—and most well-attended—event: the 23rd Annual Clay Shoot on Friday, April 24th at Carson Valley Clays. A big thank you to Matt Brennan for his outstanding work organizing this event. As of April 2nd, all team spots and several sponsorship levels are fully booked. There are still a few sponsorship opportunities available for the Prime Rib Lunch, ammunition, and raffle prizes for those interested. We truly appreciate the continued support, which allows us to give back to our community through scholarships and donations to local nonprofits. Please visit the website for additional details.

I’m also pleased to share that we had an exceptionally strong pool of scholarship applicants this year, and we will be awarding four scholarships. Congratulations to Carly Farthing, Matt Cummings, Logan Dottei, and Justin Crenshaw, each receiving $1,000. We look forward to recognizing them at our upcoming meeting. Your ongoing support through our events makes these scholarships possible—thank you.

Sincerely,
Gino Grelli

Dave Wyllie, member ASHRAE, past Northern Nevada Chapter President, and current Newsletter Editor/Webmaster, is a Senior Energy Engineer with NV Energy’s Business Energy Services (BES) Program and has been with the program for a total of 13 years over two stints. He has a BS in Mechanical Engineering, is a licensed PE, a LEED-AP, Certified Energy Manager (CEM), and a Certified Measurement and Verification Professional (CMVP). Additionally, he spent many years either developing or overseeing energy savings performance contracting projects that included comprehensive improvements at educational, healthcare, local government, industrial, and military facilities.
