Steve Duerkop – Critical Room Controls

Topic Description

The presentation will include an overview of pressurization control strategies, with applications such as containments, lab configurations, and healtcare environments. 


With 30 years of HVAC experience, Steve has worked for organizations such as Honeywell, Johnson Controls and ABB; in sales and HVAC product support roles.  At JCI, Steve focused on Healthcare sales. This included Owner sales with a focus on projects impacting Environment of Care.  Steve focused on enhancing systems to improve patient satisfaction, reduce acquired infections and best control energy related costs.  During the 7 years as manufacturers’ representative – Steve actively supported engineering design, field commissioning and owner service for mission critical applications including healthcare and laboratories.  Steve has extensive experience in air-side applications including energy efficiency initiatives , space and building pressurization control, AHU commissioning and fan tracking. Further, he focused on BTU metering and improved efficiency of wet-side systems.  In his current role, Steve is growing and supporting CRC’s rep force, and, investing heavily in developing field knowledge related to lab and healthcare applications of air valves and related pressure monitoring and control equipment.
